This Changes Everything

Today we discovered what a fantastic library they have in Port Townsend.

Being winter, days are short, nights are long and even longer when it is windy and rainy. So we walk into the public library , foreigners in a foreign land and they immediately issue us library card. At our finger tips a glorious collection of  paper books and ebooks of all stripes and an enormous DVD collection. Upstairs in this wondrous spacious room, made to recline and lounge about, is the largest collection of Maritime books on the west coast of North America.  About 200 feet of shelves full of everything maritime with a special emphasis on sailboats and the adventures people have had on them.  In about five minutes I have selected many a dark night of reading material with the promise of many treasures to be rooted out in the future.

Oh yes it was sunny today despite the forcast for doom and gloom.
